Who says summer says vacation. And on vacation, our beauty routine necessarily changes, it adapts to the nomadic life (or not) that we are about to spend during the next few weeks. Although this notion may seem superficial, it is on the contrary very important. Our skin does not take vacations and it is even essential to continue to pamper it and apply your usual face and body routine in summer.

The sun, the sand, the sea salt, the invigorating mountain air, the pollution of the big cities we visit or the plane trips can quickly take their toll on it! To avoid ending up with tired and undone skin when we go back to school, we make sure to slip these essentials into our portable summer kit.

The essentials, cosmetic care side

If there was a range to take with you at all costs, it would be the cosmetic care range. Face and body care are the number one step not to skip when preparing your luggage. Why? To keep your skin healthy, hydrated and soft in all circumstances and regardless of your skin type!

We carefully list:

• an eye and face serum and a day moisturizer. To be applied before sun protection.
• Sunscreen. It goes without saying, but it's always good to remember...
• A night moisturizer and a night serum. Refreshing after a long sunny summer day, we apply our serum before our night cream
• A floral water. It cleanses and soothes skin that may have suffered from the sun, it is the first step in care after washing your face.
• A dry body oil. Ideal for summer, it moisturizes without a greasy finish and leaves a satin finish on clean, golden skin.

• A light cream for hands and feet. It's summer, yes, but that doesn't stop you from taking care of your hands and feet, which will thank you. We prefer a light and fluid texture, in summer the skin will absorb this type of product better.
• Deodorant. It's even a great summer essential, to avoid sweating and embarrassing odors, deodorant should be slipped into your vanity case immediately! The good tip? If you don't want to bother with a deodorant, know that a pinch of baking soda on damp armpits will do the trick perfectly and for up to 24 hours! Be careful, baking soda can be irritating, to avoid redness, oil your armpits with coconut oil after each use.)
• A facial cleanser. Pampered skin obviously requires clean skin. If you don't have time to apply your daily layering on vacation, you still make sure you have clean skin).

If the floral water is not available in a mini format, it is possible to buy a small container (you can now easily find them in supermarkets or in specialized beauty stores) and pour your quantity of floral water into it. When you love to do your makeup, you appreciate having all your equipment at your disposal (and sometimes it can take up a lot of space). On vacation, the watchword is "travel light"! To avoid having to lug around a whole suitcase of makeup, focus on the essentials.

We take with us:

• Foundation. In summer, we rely on a CC cream, lighter than foundation, CC cream is defined more as a tinted cream that leaves a light tan on the face. It corrects redness, spots and evens out the complexion without suffocating the skin. The best part? It can also act as a treatment and sun protection. In short, it has it all.
• Mascara. If you're looking for a light make-up while also wanting to enlarge your eyes, don't skip mascara! Choose a waterproof one to avoid the panda effect after an afternoon at the pool. The trick? Stretch your lashes towards the outer corner of your eye for a stunning doe-eye effect. You can combine mascara application with eyelash serum to boost eyelash growth and strengthen them even in summer.

• A lip balm. Tinted or glossy, lip balm is our great summer friend. For a luscious, hydrated and rosy mouth just right. We carry it everywhere for unexpected touch-ups!
• A bronzer. To accentuate your already golden tan, apply your bronzer with a brush, following the famous rule of three - forehead, temples, jaws. You'll get a deep tan and a healthy glow.
• The concealer. Or the anti-dark circles, for those who really want the minimum, it will do the job perfectly to locally camouflage small imperfections. We choose it in the color of our skin or a tone very slightly below and obviously, we do not apply it on the whole face).
• A makeup remover. The one of your choice, but makeup remover remains an absolute essential, even on vacation.

The essentials, accessories side

Once the cosmetic care and makeup are well listed, it is time to think about accessories! Essential for giving yourself a little beauty makeover at any time and in any place, you should not forget them. Here are a few accessories that we think are essential to slip into your beauty kit.

We absolutely list:

• The brush kit. When applying makeup, it would be a shame to forget your brush kit! We take the basics, namely the complexion brush, the eye shadow brush and the powder brush. We can also prefer a beauty blender for the complexion.
• A dry shampoo. We consider it an accessory as it can be indispensable! Dry shampoo restores our mane in no time, a spray on dirty hair before an impromptu picnic and it's perfect).

• A nail clipper. Ursula's nails in the middle of a game of Molki? That's not going to be practical. To avoid damaging your summer manicure, be sure to bring your nail clippers and keep them to a reasonable length, or rather the one that suits you personally, for a damage-free vacation!

• A nail file. It goes hand in hand with the nail clipper.
• Makeup remover wipes. It can also be a glove or simply your fingers and a good vegetable oil.

• A quartz roller. This is a little essential that is very useful for plumping, smoothing and refreshing the skin. It is also a good way to get your skincare products into your skin and relax after a hard day on the deckchair.
